Our Story
Two studios, one symmetry
Reverie Studio was born from a merger of two design studios, each shaped by a distinct instinct for how a room should feel. Ivy is cosmopolitan and always in motion, her eye sharpened by travel through Paris, Kyoto, Amsterdam — spaces that taught her drama, scale, and the unexpected gesture. Lei is drawn to comfort and stillness, building rooms so quietly inviting that you want to stay in them all day, the kind of space that feels like a held breath.
Where one of us chases the world, the other makes a home worth returning to. Neither instinct is complete without the other — a room that only moves never rests, and a room that only rests never surprises. Reverie exists in that symmetry: motion held by stillness, boldness tempered by comfort.
We named the studio Reverie because that's what our clients feel walking through our spaces. Not asleep. Not quite awake. Somewhere more vivid than either.
The whole brand in a single frame. Two designers, two sensibilities — restraint and expression — sharing one bench against one black wall. Everything Reverie makes lives in the space between us.

Ivy Rose Hutton
Co-Founder & Principal
Ivy designs the moments that stop you mid-step. Her instinct is for scale, material drama, and the element you didn't see coming — a burgundy stone powder room with a gold chain chandelier, a wine cellar wrapped in antique mirrors, a bathtub carved from black resin. Her rooms hold your gaze and don't let go.
Ivy's bolder, expressive style fits the imaginative, artistic side of reverie.
Leialoha Mergist
Co-Founder & Principal
Lei designs the spaces you feel before you see. Her work is defined by material precision — the exact sheen of a roman clay wall, the shadow cast by a recessed joint, the way light bends differently across honed stone at noon versus dusk. Her rooms are quiet but never empty. Every omission is a choice.
Lei's quiet elegance fits the dreamlike, poetic side of reverie.
